Welcome to my website!
The LORD will guide you continually
Seven years ago, I stepped out by faith to “retire” from teaching to full-time freelance edit and write. Five years ago, a dear friend prayed for me as I walked through a very difficult time. I was so spiritually parched I had nothing to give to anyone, let alone write. I had just told my agent she should let me go. But she refused. Then my friend told me what the Lord had shown her during the prayer time. Later I found those words almost word for word in Isaiah 58:11–12.
This site is a tangible reminder of the Lord’s continual guidance in my life. He has taken dreams I’ve cherished since childhood and molded them (and me) to His purposes . . . and the journey continues.
This site also reflects my love for Colorado, as I’m sure you’ve picked up on with the slide show on this page. ☺ Although my hubby and I moved to the Ozarks of Missouri, my siblings and I still own a rustic cabin located in the Indian Peaks Wilderness area west of Boulder. The pictures are of the cabin and the surrounding scenery. Lots of family history has taken place here, and it is the setting for several of my books.
I hope you will join me on this wonderful adventure of Discovering Foundations of Truth. Stay awhile; learn more about me, my books and speaking ministry, and my editing business, Shevet Writing Services.
If we are not already connected on the social networks, please click on the links below. I'm working on setting up author and book pages on Facebook, as well.
Then visit my blogs—one for writers, the other for those who struggle with (or knows someone who does) depression and/or anxiety. My first nonfiction book, Calming the Storm Within: God's Peace for Depression and Anxiety will release soon. My prayer is that it will be a help to many believers, and the blog and the page on this website is geared to supplement the book.
I’m so glad you have come to visit me here. Please check back frequently as I will be adding more content—especially on the resource pages. Let me know if there’s anything I can do for you or a need for which I can pray with you.
